• Research Question
I’ve decided to base my research question around the subject of the 27 Club, which is of course involved in the music industry. I find it an interesting subject already and I haven’t researched too much about it. It’s always been a conspiracy that people speak about and i have decided to learn about it for this unit, as I’d like to further my knowledge on it. And as i said before, I am quite interested in this subject, so i am looking forward to researching about this. I have been asking my tutor and my colleagues how to word the question and I managed to come up with one. My question is… Who are the key figures involved in the ‘27 Club’?
• Research Methods and Examples
My research methods will be through using trustworthy sites i find on google, and possible Youtube videos. As sometimes I find it easier to find out information through listening rather than reading. I will be using mainly secondary research as the subject I have chosen is relatively hard to find out about by myself. So websites will be what is used mostly. Youtube has a few videos on the subject already so I will be watching those and taking notes from it so I can remember the research correctly, instead of watching it all and assuming I’ll remember. Plus, it means I’ll be able to quote it word for word so it is accurate.
• Timescale for research
I do not think it should take too long to find out enough information for this question. But i will take my time as i don’t want to rush the answer, and I also want to make sure my research is thorough and well written. The videos i will watch will be easy to get through and the websites I will use to find information out, should only take an hour or so. Most parts of the research won’t take too long, it’s just the writing and the evaluation for the questions that will take up most of the my time on this project. But it is time I am willing to give so I know my answers are up to a high standard.
• Expected Results
The results should hopefully get me a good grade for the unit, and a well written essay/answer for my question. I will hopefully have learnt lots of information about the chosen subject, and would be able to give a presentation on it if asked. The effort I will put in, will be far from minimal so I expect more then a pass as I am aiming for a merit. The research should be high quality.
